How to Edit Your Pet’s Birthdate or Age

Summary

You can easily update your pet’s birthdate or age before any veterinary records are verified. However, once a pet’s eHealth Card contains vet-verified medical records, certain details—such as age or birthdate—may no longer be editable. This helps ensure your pet receives accurate, timely health reminders and notifications.

Why Editing May Be Restricted

Your pet’s age and birthdate play an important role in generating medically accurate alerts, such as vaccination reminders and preventive care notifications.

Once a veterinarian verifies a medical record on your pet’s eHealth Card, these details are locked to maintain consistency and medical accuracy. This ensures that:

  • Health reminders are sent at the right time

  • Vaccination schedules remain reliable

  • Your pet’s records stay aligned with what was clinically verified by your vet

This safeguard helps protect your pet’s ongoing care and avoids confusion that could arise from conflicting or outdated information.

When You Can Edit Your Pet’s Birthdate or Age

You can freely update your pet’s details if:

  • No vet-verified records have been added yet

  • The pet profile is still in its initial setup stage

To edit:

  1. Go to your pet’s profile

  2. Select Edit Profile

  3. Update the birthdate or age

  4. Save your changes
